What are the TRIO Programs?
Answer
Trio Programs were established in 1964. They are funded by the Department of Education to enrich the academic and social experience of students in the nation. Out of the 5 federal Trio Programs, GPC host 2 of them: Student Support Services and Upward Bound.

While student financial aid programs help students overcome financial barriers, TRIO Programs overcome class, social and cultural barriers to higher education.
